| It is the RCE’s and Reinwardt Academy’s great pleasure to invite you to the Final Presentations of the 2021 edition of the Sharing Stories on Contested Histories training programme. These presentations are the result of a two week training focused on sharing experiences and exploring approaches and tools to present complex histories from multiple perspectives.
During this session, taking place on 23 April, from 11.00-12.45 CEST, four teams of young heritage professionals from Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname and the United States of America, will share their reflections. The main focus in their presentations will be the exhibition of the Rijksmuseum ‘Slavery. Ten true stories’, which serves as the case study for the 2021 training. The session will be opened by Christianne Mattijssen, Director of Heritage and Arts (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science). In addition, we welcome you to join the conversation about the ethical and museological challenges of sharing contested histories in an inclusive manner. For more information please visit our website. Registration is free, but required. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email and a link through which you can participate in the event. Make sure to save this confirmation email until the webinar! |
